The Seoul Arts Center will host a classical concert called Classics in Cinema and Drama, as part of its programme for 2011-12.
SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA, November 18, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Korean Symphony Orchestra are to play a concert called Classics in Cinema and Drama at the Seoul Arts Center this December.
Part of the 2011-12 Season 8 programme of concerts, the show will feature performances of rousing and famous classical pieces that have become famous for their use in high-profile films.
To be held in the Concert Hall on December 8th 2011, the event will see audiences treated to renditions of works that have been included in Black Swan, Out of Africa, Manon des Sources and the acclaimed Korean drama Beethoven Virus.
Pieces by composers such as Mozart, Verdi and Tchaikovsky will make up the bill, with local cellist Song Young-Hoon to act as concert guide.
Park Tae-Young is handling conducting duties, while attendees can expect to hear Kim Hyun-Gon on clarinet and Kim Ji-Ae on piano.
Seoul Arts Center is one of South Korea's most prestigious performance venues, with a music hall, opera house, art museum and theatres all on site.
The performance starts at 11:00 local time, with tickets available from 15,000 won (GBP8.40).
