The TSLC IronKids Phuket will challenge youngsters to compete in a challenging but fun mini-triathlon this December.

PHUKET, THAILAND, October 26, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Thanyapura Sports and Leisure Club (TSLC) in Phuket will act as the venue for the TSLC IronKids Phuket triathlon event this December.

To be held on December 3rd 2011, the competition is aimed at children aged between six and 15 years of age and will allow participants to compete in a fun, challenging race across age-appropriate distances.

With a focus on fitness, fun and safety, the contest is aimed at inspiring kids to lead active and healthy lifestyles, with all participants receiving health and nutrition advice, as well as a medal for finishing.

Brackets are available for boys and girls in the junior, intermediate and senior categories, with events commencing at 07:30 local time with a swimming leg in the club's 50-metre pool.

This will be followed by bike and foot races on closed roads surrounding the TSLC venue, with volunteers set to be in place to direct racers on where to go.

IronKids Phuket comes as part of an event series that has been taking place around the world since 1985, with more than 40,000 children having participated in IronKids races worldwide to date.
